In this article, I'm sharing the top 10 things I've learned on how to make your Reels go viral. Regardless if you're a brand, a content creator, or just someone who's new to it all, these hacks will optimize your views and engagement.


1. Grab Attention within the First Few Seconds

The first 3 seconds are crucial. If the audience isn't hooked immediately, they'll scroll. Begin with something dramatic, something different, or something visually striking to capture attention right off the bat.

2. Keep It Short and Engaging

Reels that are shorter than 15 seconds are typically a safer bet. Shorter videos are watched repeatedly, which contributes to watch time and educates the algorithm to boost your content.

3. Employ Trending Music and Sounds

Trending sound can make your Reel go viral. Instagram's algorithm prefers videos with trending sounds. Always look for trending signs on the sound before choosing one.

4. Offer Value or Relevant Content

Take into account how your content supports, educates, entertains, or connects with audiences. Helpful or useful videos are shared and bookmarked more, providing you with a better chance of going viral.

5. Use Attention-Grabbing Text Hooks

Sentences like "Watch till the end" or "Don't miss this" leave you wondering. Having a real hook at the beginning makes people watch your Reel till the end.
